The Apparel & Graphic Designer is responsible for designing the products that define The Seaside Society Co. From seasonal collections and signature graphics to embroidery, packaging, and promotional materials, this role transforms creative ideas into products our customers love.

Working closely with the Creative Director and leadership, you'll help bring each collection to life while ensuring every design reflects our coastal-inspired identity and premium aesthetic.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design original graphics for T-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, hats, polos, shorts, and accessories.

  • Develop seasonal collections from concept through production.

  • Create print-ready, embroidery-ready, and production-ready artwork.

  • Produce apparel mockups, technical specifications, and design presentations.

  • Research fashion, retail, and lifestyle trends to inspire future collections.

  • Collaborate with the Creative Director on collection themes, color palettes, and product direction.

  • Prepare artwork for screen printing, embroidery, heat transfer, and other production methods.

  • Design supporting brand assets, including packaging, hang tags, stickers, labels, and promotional materials.

  • Revise designs based on feedback while maintaining brand consistency.

  • Organize and maintain digital design files and creative assets.

  • Work with manufacturers, decorators, and production partners to ensure designs meet quality standards.

  • Assist with product photography planning and marketing campaigns when needed.

Qualifications

  • Strong portfolio showcasing apparel, graphic, or brand design work.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other Creative Cloud applications (or equivalent software).

  • Understanding of apparel decoration methods, including screen printing and embroidery.

  • Strong typography, composition, and color theory skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.

  • Ability to receive feedback and collaborate in a creative environment.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing for apparel or lifestyle brands.

  • Knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and production processes.

  • Experience creating tech packs and production specifications.

  • Familiarity with e-commerce and retail branding.

  • Experience with photography, Canva, or Figma is a plus.
